Analysis of sludge or pulp, assessment of concentration, and measurement of density and turbidity prior to filtration

This test is used to analyse the filterability of the effluent and determine whether solid–liquid separation is possible. We can also measure the initial turbidity and the actual concentration.

Filtration test on a filter press

Filtration tests are carried out on our laboratory filter, fitted with the filter media to be tested. During the test, we analyse the filtration rate and the quality of the filtrates.
At the end of the test, we can determine the dryness and density of the filter cake formed in the filter. Finally, we examine the filter media under test by observing its fouling and measuring its permeability.

Recommendation for filter media

Depending on the sludge to be filtered, we can recommend specific filter media. We can also compare the media you are currently using and assess their suitability for your process.
